¹⁹But if all were one member, where the body?

²⁰But now the members [are] many, and the body one.

²¹The eye cannot say to the hand, I have not need of thee; or again, the head to the feet, I have not need of you.

New International Version

¹⁹If they were all one part, where would the body be? ²⁰As it is, there are many parts, but one body.^(A)

²¹The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”
