34 women should keep silent in the churches, for they are not allowed to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says.(A) 35 But if they want to learn anything, they should ask their husbands at home. For it is improper for a woman to speak in the church.

New International Version
34 Women[a] should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak,(A) but must be in submission,(B) as the law(C) says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.[b]
