7 I don’t want just to see you for a short time; I’m hoping to remain with you for a while, if the Lord allows me to. 8 I shall be staying on in Ephesus until Pentecost. 9 A huge and important door has opened for me here, and there is plenty of opposition.

7 For I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.(A) 8 But I will stay on at Ephesus(B) until Pentecost,(C) 9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me,(D) and there are many who oppose me.
