17 For this reason I sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who will remind you as to my ways in Christ Jesus, just as I am teaching everywhere in every church. 18 Now some were puffed-up as-if I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills. And I shall come-to-know not the talk[a] of the ones having been puffed-up, but the power.

17 For this reason I have sent to you(A) Timothy,(B) my son(C) whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.(D)
18 Some of you have become arrogant,(E) as if I were not coming to you.(F) 19 But I will come to you very soon,(G) if the Lord is willing,(H) and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have.
