⁷ Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new unleavened batch, as indeed you are. For Christ our Passover lamb^(A) has been sacrificed.^[a]

¹⁴ how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit^(A) offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our^[a] consciences from dead works so that we can serve the living God?^(B)

²⁸ so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many,^(A) will appear a second time,^(B) not to bear sin, but^[a] to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.^(C)

¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ,^(A) like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb.^(B)
