7 Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me:

7 Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.”^(A)

⁸But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: ^(A)It is good for them if they remain even as I am;

⁸Now to the unmarried^[a] and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do.^(A)
