²⁹ This is what I mean, brothers and sisters: The time is limited,^(A) so from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none,

⁸ You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.^(A)

⁷ The end of all things is near;^(A) therefore, be alert and sober-minded^(B) for prayer.

⁹ The Lord does not delay his promise,^(A) as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any^(B) to perish^(C) but all to come to repentance.^(D)
