23 If we reject the Son, we reject the Father. But if we say we accept the Son, we have the Father. 24 Keep thinking about the message you first heard, and you will always be one in your heart with the Son and with the Father. 25 The Son[a] has promised us[b] eternal life.

23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.(A)
24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning(B) remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.(C) 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life.(D)
