⁵But if anyone obeys his word,^(A) love for God^[a] is truly made complete in them.^(B) This is how we know^(C) we are in him:

³For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden,^(A)

³In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands.^(A) And his commands are not burdensome,^(B)
