2 If we love and obey God, we know we will love his children. 3 (A) We show our love for God by obeying his commandments, and they are not hard to follow.
4 Every child of God can defeat the world, and our faith is what gives us this victory.

2 This is how we know(A) that we love the children of God:(B) by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands.(C) And his commands are not burdensome,(D) 4 for everyone born of God(E) overcomes(F) the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
