1 Kings 11:36-38
1599 Geneva Bible
36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a [a]light always before me in Jerusalem the city, which I have chosen me to put my Name there.
37 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign [b]even as thine heart desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.
38 And if thou hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments as David my servant did, then will I be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built unto David, and will give Israel unto thee.

New International Version
36 I will give one tribe(A) to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp(B) before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name. 37 However, as for you, I will take you, and you will rule(C) over all that your heart desires;(D) you will be king over Israel. 38 If you do whatever I command you and walk in obedience to me and do what is right(E) in my eyes by obeying my decrees(F) and commands, as David my servant did, I will be with you. I will build you a dynasty(G) as enduring as the one I built for David and will give Israel to you.
