26 He took the treasures from the ·Temple [L house] of the Lord and the king’s ·palace [L house]. He took everything, even the gold shields Solomon had made. 27 So King Rehoboam made bronze shields to put in their place and ·gave [entrusted; committed] them to the commanders of the guards for the ·palace gates [L doorway/entrance of the king’s house]. 28 Whenever the king went to the ·Temple [L house] of the Lord, the guards carried the shields. Later, they would put them back in the guardroom.

He took everything, including all the gold shields(B) Solomon had made. 27 So King Rehoboam made bronze shields to replace them and assigned these to the commanders of the guard on duty at the entrance to the royal palace.(C) 28 Whenever the king went to the Lord’s temple, the guards bore the shields, and afterward they returned them to the guardroom.
