Elijah Announces Famine
17 Now Elijah(A) the Tishbite, from the Gilead settlers,[a](B) said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives,(C) I stand before Him, and there will be no dew or rain during these years except by my command!”(D)
2 Then a revelation from the Lord came to him: 3 “Leave here, turn eastward, and hide(E) yourself at the Wadi Cherith where it enters the Jordan.

17 Now Elijah(A) the Tishbite, from Tishbe[a] in Gilead,(B) said to Ahab, “As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain(C) in the next few years except at my word.”
