35 So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled (A)the trench with water.
36 And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord (B)God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, (C)let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that (D)I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”

35 The water ran down around the altar and even filled the trench.
36 At the time(A) of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham,(B) Isaac and Israel, let it be known(C) today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.(D) 37 Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know(E) that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”
