1 Kings 18:39-41
GOD’S WORD Translation
39 All the people saw it and immediately bowed down to the ground. “The Lord is God!” they said. “The Lord is God!”
40 Elijah told them, “Seize the prophets of Baal. Don’t let any of them escape.” The people seized them, and Elijah took them to the Kishon River and slaughtered them there.
The Drought Ends
41 Then Elijah told Ahab, “Get up, eat, and drink. It sounds like a heavy rain ⌞is coming⌟.”

New International Version
39 When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate(A) and cried, “The Lord—he is God! The Lord—he is God!”(B)
40 Then Elijah commanded them, “Seize the prophets of Baal. Don’t let anyone get away!” They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley(C) and slaughtered(D) there.
41 And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.”
