¹²Then ^(A)Solomon sat on the throne of his father David, and his kingdom was firmly established.

New International Version

¹²So Solomon sat on the throne^(A) of his father David, and his rule was firmly established.^(B)

⁴⁶^(A)So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he went out and ^[a]struck him so that he died.

^(B)And the kingdom was established in the hands of Solomon.

⁴⁶Then the king gave the order to Benaiah^(A) son of Jehoiada, and he went out and struck Shimei^(B) down and he died.

The kingdom was now established^(C) in Solomon’s hands.
