11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life, neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine [a]enemies, but hast asked for thyself understanding to hear judgment,
12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and understanding heart, so that there hath been none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall arise the like unto thee.
13 And I have also (A)given thee that, which thou hast not asked, both riches and honor, so that among the Kings there [b]shall be none like unto thee all thy days.

11 So God said to him, “Since you have asked(A) for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment(B) in administering justice, 12 I will do what you have asked.(C) I will give you a wise(D) and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not(E) asked for—both wealth and honor(F)—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal(G) among kings.
