¹²So I'll make you wiser than anyone who has ever lived or ever will live.

¹³I'll also give you what you didn't ask for. You'll be rich and respected as long as you live, and you'll be greater than any other king. ¹⁴If you obey me and follow my commands, as your father David did, I'll let you live a long time.

New International Version

¹²I will do what you have asked.^(A) I will give you a wise^(B) and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. ¹³Moreover, I will give you what you have not^(C) asked for—both wealth and honor^(D)—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal^(E) among kings. ¹⁴And if you walk^(F) in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.”^(G)
