12 behold, I am fulfilling your request. I will give you such a wise and understanding heart that there was never anyone like you before your times, nor will anyone like you rise up afterwards.[a]
13 “I will also give you those things for which you did not ask, both riches and honor, so that no other king will be like you as long as you live. 14 If you walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and commandments, just as David, your father, walked, then I will prolong your life.”

12 I will do what you have asked.(A) I will give you a wise(B) and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not(C) asked for—both wealth and honor(D)—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal(E) among kings. 14 And if you walk(F) in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.”(G)
