31 He was wiser than anyone(A)—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite,(B) and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol.(C) His reputation extended to all the surrounding nations.(D)
32 Solomon composed 3,000 proverbs,(E) and his songs numbered 1,005.(F) 33 He described trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop growing out of the wall. He also taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.

31 He was wiser(A) than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite—wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. 32 He spoke three thousand proverbs(B) and his songs(C) numbered a thousand and five. 33 He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop(D) that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish.
