4 Also for the house (A)he made windows with artistic frames. 5 (B)Against the wall of the house he built stories encompassing the walls of the house around both the main room and the [a](C)inner sanctuary; so he made (D)side chambers all around. 6 The lowest story was [b]five cubits wide, the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he [c]made offsets in the wall of the house all around so that the beams would not [d]be inserted into the walls of the house.

New International Version
4 He made narrow windows(A) high up in the temple walls. 5 Against the walls of the main hall and inner sanctuary he built a structure around the building, in which there were side rooms.(B) 6 The lowest floor was five cubits[a] wide, the middle floor six cubits[b] and the third floor seven.[c] He made offset ledges around the outside of the temple so that nothing would be inserted into the temple walls.
