1 Kings 6:5-7

5 He then built a chambered structure[a] along the temple wall, encircling the walls of the temple, that is, the sanctuary and the inner sanctuary.(A) And he made side chambers[b] all around.(B) 6 The lowest chamber was 7½ feet[c] wide, the middle was nine feet[d] wide, and the third was 10½ feet[e] wide. He also provided offset ledges for the temple all around the outside so that nothing would be inserted into the temple walls. 7 The temple’s construction used finished stones cut at the quarry so that no hammer, chisel, or any iron tool was heard in the temple while it was being built.(C)

5 Against the walls of the main hall and inner sanctuary he built a structure around the building, in which there were side rooms.(A) 6 The lowest floor was five cubits[a] wide, the middle floor six cubits[b] and the third floor seven.[c] He made offset ledges around the outside of the temple so that nothing would be inserted into the temple walls.
7 In building the temple, only blocks dressed(B) at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool(C) was heard at the temple site while it was being built.
