²²And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.

²³And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

²⁴And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops were cast in two rows, when it was cast.

²²The capitals on top were in the shape of lilies. And so the work on the pillars^(A) was completed.

²³He made the Sea^(B) of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits high. It took a line^(C) of thirty cubits^[a] to measure around it. ²⁴Below the rim, gourds encircled it—ten to a cubit. The gourds were cast in two rows in one piece with the Sea.

The Sea and the Oxen

²³And he made ^(A)the Sea of cast bronze, ten cubits from one brim to the other; it was completely round. Its height was five cubits, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference.

²⁴Below its brim were ornamental buds encircling it all around, ten to a cubit, ^(B)all the way around the Sea. The ornamental buds were cast in two rows when it was cast.
