1 Kings 8:36-38

36 then listen in heaven and forgive the sin of Your slaves and of Your people Israel; (A)indeed, teach them the good way in which they should walk. And (B)give rain on Your land, which You have given to Your people for an inheritance.
37 “(C)If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is scorching wind or mildew, locust or grasshopper, if their enemy besieges them in the land of their [a]cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is, 38 whatever prayer or supplication is made by any man or by all Your people Israel, each of whom knows the [b]affliction of his own heart, and spreads his [c]hands toward this house;

36 then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach(A) them the right way(B) to live, and send rain(C) on the land you gave your people for an inheritance.
37 “When famine(D) or plague(E) comes to the land, or blight(F) or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers,(G) or when an enemy besieges them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come, 38 and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among your people Israel—being aware of the afflictions of their own hearts, and spreading out their hands(H) toward this temple—
