27 Hiram had skilled sailors, so he sent them to serve in these ships with Solomon’s men. 28 The ships sailed to Ophir and brought back about thirty-two thousand pounds of gold to King Solomon.

27 And Hiram sent his men—sailors(A) who knew the sea—to serve in the fleet with Solomon’s men. 28 They sailed to Ophir(B) and brought back 420 talents[a] of gold,(C) which they delivered to King Solomon.
