1 Peter 2:20-22
New English Translation
20 For what credit is it if you sin and are mistreated and endure it? But if you do good and suffer and so endure, this finds favor with God.[a] 21 For to this you were called, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving an example for you to follow in his steps. 22 He[b] committed no sin nor was deceit found in his mouth.[c]

20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.(A) 21 To this(B) you were called,(C) because Christ suffered for you,(D) leaving you an example,(E) that you should follow in his steps.
