¹⁷For it is better, if it is God’s will,^(A) to suffer for doing good^(B) than for doing evil.

¹⁷For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

¹⁷For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

¹⁹So then, those who suffer according to God’s will^(A) should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

¹⁹Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
