14 If you are being reproached[a] in[b] the name of Christ, you are blessed[c] ones!— because the Spirit of glory and of God is resting upon you. 15 For let none of you be suffering as a murderer or thief or evil-doer, or as a meddler[d]. 16 But if one suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him be glorifying God in this name.

14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ,(A) you are blessed,(B) for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.(C)
