1 Samuel 14:43-45
Darby Translation
43 And Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him and said, With the end of the staff which is in my hand I tasted a little honey, [and] behold, I must die!
44 And Saul said, God do so [to me] and more also; thou shalt certainly die, Jonathan.
45 And the people said to Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who has wrought this great salvation in Israel? Far be it! [as] Jehovah liveth, there shall not a hair of his head fall to the ground; for he has wrought with God this day. So the people delivered Jonathan, that he died not.

1 Samuel 14:43-45
New International Version
43 Then Saul said to Jonathan, “Tell me what you have done.”(A)
So Jonathan told him, “I tasted a little honey(B) with the end of my staff. And now I must die!”
44 Saul said, “May God deal with me, be it ever so severely,(C) if you do not die, Jonathan.(D)”
45 But the men said to Saul, “Should Jonathan die—he who has brought about this great deliverance in Israel? Never! As surely as the Lord lives, not a hair(E) of his head will fall to the ground, for he did this today with God’s help.” So the men rescued(F) Jonathan, and he was not put to death.
