36 Your servant has killed lion and bear. This uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them because he has defied the army of the living God.” 37 David continued, “The Lord who has delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me out of the hands of this Philistine.” Saul then said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.”
38 David Prepares for the Encounter. Saul dressed David in his own armor. He put a bronze helmet on his head and covered him with a coat of mail.

36 Your servant has killed both the lion(A) and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The Lord who rescued(B) me from the paw of the lion(C) and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with(D) you.”
38 Then Saul dressed David in his own(E) tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head.
