1 Samuel 2:32-34

32 You will look at the distress of my dwelling place, despite all the good caused for Israel, but there will never be an old man in your household forever![a] 33 The only one I will not cut off from my altar is you.[b] Rather, to cause your eyes to fail and to cause your soul to grieve, all the members of your household[c] will die as men.[d] 34 This is the sign for you that will come regarding your two sons Hophni and Phinehas: they will both die on the same day!

New International Version
32 and you will see distress(A) in my dwelling. Although good will be done to Israel, no one in your family line will ever reach old age.(B) 33 Every one of you that I do not cut off from serving at my altar I will spare only to destroy your sight and sap your strength, and all your descendants(C) will die in the prime of life.
34 “‘And what happens to your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, will be a sign(D) to you—they will both die(E) on the same day.(F)
