28 So Saul stopped chasing David and went to fight the Philistines. That is why people call this place “Slippery Rock.”[a] 29 David left the desert of Maon and went to the fortresses near En Gedi.

28 Then Saul broke off his pursuit of David and went to meet the Philistines. That is why they call this place Sela Hammahlekoth.[a] 29 And David went up from there and lived in the strongholds(A) of En Gedi.[b](B)
