1 Samuel 25:37-39
1599 Geneva Bible
37 Then in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, his wife told him those words, and his heart died within him, and he was like [a]a stone.
38 And about ten days after, the Lord smote Nabal, that he died.
39 ¶ Now when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord, that hath [b]judged the cause of my rebuke of the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the Lord hath recompensed the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. Also David sent to commune with Abigail, to [c]take her to his wife.
