1 Samuel 31:3-5
Evangelical Heritage Version
3 The attack directed at Saul was fierce. The archers targeted him and hit him, and he was seriously wounded.
4 Then Saul said to his armor bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through with it, so that these uncircumcised fellows cannot come and run me through and abuse me!”
But his armor bearer would not do it, because he was too afraid. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it. 5 When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died with him.
