7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
9 The Word is faithful and worthy of acceptation by all.

7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;(A) rather, train yourself to be godly.(B) 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things,(C) holding promise for both the present life(D) and the life to come.(E) 9 This is a trustworthy saying(F) that deserves full acceptance.
