6 But the one who lives for pleasure is dead even[a] while she lives. 7 Reinforce[b] these commands,[c] so that they will be beyond reproach. 8 But if someone does not provide for his own,[d] especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

6 But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives.(A) 7 Give the people these instructions,(B) so that no one may be open to blame. 8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied(C) the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
