¹⁰ And he said, “^(A)I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of armies; for the sons of Israel have abandoned Your covenant, ^(B)torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. And ^(C)I alone am left; and they have sought to take my life.”

²³ And they brought Uriah from Egypt and led him to King Jehoiakim, who ^(A)killed him with a sword and threw his dead body into the ^[a]burial place of the ^[b]common people.
