²⁴ For he was ruling over everything ^[a]west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah even to ^(A)Gaza, ^(B)over all the kings ^[b]west of the River; and ^(C)he had peace on all sides surrounding him.

⁹ Behold, a son will be born to you, who shall be a man of rest, and ^(A)I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for ^(B)his name will be ^[a]Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days.
