¹³ Therefore, ^[a](A)prepare your minds for action, ^[b](B)keep sober in spirit, set your ^(C)hope completely on the ^(D)grace to be brought to you at ^(E)the revelation of Jesus Christ.

²¹ who through Him are ^(A)believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and ^(B)gave Him glory, so that your faith and ^(C)hope are in God.

⁵ For in this way the holy women of former times, ^(A)who hoped in God, also used to adorn themselves, being subject to their own husbands,

¹⁵ but ^[a]sanctify ^(A)Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready ^(B)to make a ^[b]defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the ^(C)hope that is in you, but ^(D)with gentleness and ^(E)respect;

³ And everyone who has this ^(A)hope set on Him ^(B)purifies himself, just as He is pure.
