^28 (A)Did I not choose them from all the tribes of Israel to be My priests, to go up to My altar, to burn incense, to carry an ephod before Me? And did I not ^(B)give to the house of your father all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel?

¹⁸ Then the king said to Doeg, “You, turn around and ^[a]attack the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and ^[b]attacked the priests, and ^(A)he killed on that day eighty-five men ^(B)who wore the linen ephod.

¹⁴ And ^(A)David was dancing before the Lord with all his strength, and David was ^(B)wearing a linen ephod.

²⁷ Now David was clothed with a robe of fine linen with all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the leader of the singing with the singers. ^(A)David also wore an ephod of linen.
