Solomon spoke to all the people of Israel. He spoke to the commanders of 100 men and of 1,000 men. He spoke to the judges, to every leader in all Israel and to the leaders of the families. Then Solomon and all the people gathered with him went to the place of worship. This was at the town of Gibeon. God’s Meeting Tent was there. Moses, the Lord’s servant, had made that Tent in the desert. David had brought the Ark of the Covenant with God from Kiriath Jearim to Jerusalem. David had made a place for it there. He had set up a tent for it in Jerusalem.

Then Solomon spoke to all Israel(A)—to the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, to the judges and to all the leaders in Israel, the heads of families— and Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon,(B) for God’s tent of meeting(C) was there, which Moses(D) the Lord’s servant had made in the wilderness. Now David had brought up the ark(E) of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent(F) for it in Jerusalem.
