2-3 He summoned all the army officers and judges to Gibeon[a] as well as all the political and religious leaders of Israel. He led them up the hill to the old Tabernacle constructed by Moses, the Lord’s assistant, while he was in the wilderness. 4 (There was a later Tabernacle in Jerusalem, built by King David for the Ark of God when he removed it from Kiriath-jearim.)

2 Then Solomon spoke to all Israel(A)—to the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, to the judges and to all the leaders in Israel, the heads of families— 3 and Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon,(B) for God’s tent of meeting(C) was there, which Moses(D) the Lord’s servant had made in the wilderness. 4 Now David had brought up the ark(E) of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent(F) for it in Jerusalem.
