7 That night God appeared to Solomon. He said to him, “Ask for anything you want me to give you.”
8 Solomon answered God, “You were very kind to my father David. Now you have made me king in his place. 9 Lord God, let the promise you gave to my father David come true. You have made me king. My people are as many as the dust of the earth. They can’t be counted.

8 Solomon answered God, “You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me(B) king in his place. 9 Now, Lord God, let your promise(C) to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth.(D)
