And they sent and called him: so came Jeroboam and all Israel, and communed with Rehoboam, saying,

Thy father [a]made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous servitude of thy father, and his sore yoke that he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee.

And he said to them, Depart yet three days, then come again unto me. And the people departed.
