2 Chronicles 12:6-8

6 Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, Jehovah is righteous. 7 And when Jehovah saw that they humbled themselves, the word of Jehovah came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves: I will not destroy them; but I will grant them [a]some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak. 8 Nevertheless they shall be his servants, that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.

6 The leaders of Israel and the king humbled(A) themselves and said, “The Lord is just.”(B)
7 When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah: “Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance.(C) My wrath(D) will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak. 8 They will, however, become subject(E) to him, so that they may learn the difference between serving me and serving the kings of other lands.”
