2 Chronicles 20:32-34
New Catholic Bible
32 He followed the example of his father Asa, and he did not deviate from it, doing what was right in the sight of the Lord. 33 However, the high places were not abolished, and the people had not as yet fixed their hearts on the God of their fathers.[a]
34 The remainder of the acts of Jehoshaphat, from first to last, are written in the chronicles of Jehu, the son of Hanani, which is included in the book of the kings of Israel.[b]

- 2 Chronicles 20:33 In 17:6, Jehoshaphat is said to have gotten rid of the high places. The discrepancy shows that the expressions used are not adequately nuanced; the meaning here is “not removed completely.” There, the meaning is “removed, but not completely.”
- 2 Chronicles 20:34 Kings of Israel: of the entire Hebrew people, including, therefore, events that took place in Judah.
2 Chronicles 20:32-34
New International Version
32 He followed the ways of his father Asa and did not stray from them; he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. 33 The high places,(A) however, were not removed, and the people still had not set their hearts on the God of their ancestors.
34 The other events of Jehoshaphat’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the annals of Jehu(B) son of Hanani, which are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel.
