⁷ Are you not our God who drove out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel^(A) and who gave it forever to the descendants of Abraham^(B) your friend?

²³ and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,^[a](A) and he was called God’s friend.^(B)
