¹⁶ but they continually ^(A)mocked the messengers of God, ^(B)despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, ^(C)until the wrath of the Lord rose against His people, until there was no remedy.

⁶ Therefore My ^(A)wrath and My anger gushed out and burned in the ^(B)cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, so they have become ruins and a ^(C)desolation as it is this day.

¹⁸ Therefore, I indeed will deal in wrath. My eye will have no pity nor will I spare; and ^(A)though they cry out in My ears with a loud voice, yet I will not listen to them.”

¹⁵ But I am very ^(A)angry with the nations who are ^(B)carefree; for while I was only a little angry, they ^[a](C)furthered the disaster.”
