2 Chronicles 7:19-21

19 “(A)But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, 20 (B)then I will uproot you from My land which I have given [a]you, and this house which I have set apart as holy for My name I will cast out of My presence and I will make it (C)a proverb and a byword among all peoples. 21 As for this house, which was exalted, everyone who passes by it will feel desolate and say, ‘(D)Why has Yahweh done thus to this land and to this house?’

19 “But if you[a] turn away(A) and forsake(B) the decrees and commands I have given you[b] and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will uproot(C) Israel from my land,(D) which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule(E) among all peoples. 21 This temple will become a heap of rubble. All[c] who pass by will be appalled(F) and say,(G) ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’
