14 We are not bragging more than we should. After all, we did bring the message about Christ to you.
15 We don't brag about what others have done, as if we had done those things ourselves. But I hope as you become stronger in your faith, we will be able to reach many more of the people around you.[a] That has always been our goal. 16 Then we will be able to preach the good news in other lands where we cannot take credit for work someone else has already done.

14 We are not going too far in our boasting, as would be the case if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you(A) with the gospel of Christ.(B) 15 Neither do we go beyond our limits(C) by boasting of work done by others.(D) Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow,(E) our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, 16 so that we can preach the gospel(F) in the regions beyond you.(G) For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory.
